Danelle Nightingale
[Growth Coach, Teaching]

I work as a 'growth coach' here at Station Hill; which is really just a fancy way to say that I get to journey with others in the deep & authentic places of their faith & life with God. I am a trained spiritual director and have worked in church ministry for many years; much of which with children & families.

I am married to Todd. We hail from California and followed God's call to ministry in England in 2002 with our 4 children. I enjoy walking with my crazy & energetic dog, cooking new things and kayaking with my wonderful & adventurous husband!

[Finance, Treasurer, Trustee]

I joined Station Hill Baptist Church in 2008. I am the Church Treasurer and a trustee as well as co-running our Sunday morning children's work for primary school aged children.  Professionally, I've been an accountant for over 20 years and am currently working in the Group Finance department of a multinational company.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, getting outside for a walk and playing music with a local orchestra. I also love escaping on holiday to obscure parts of the world, to see how different people live.

[Housegroups]

I have been at Station Hill since 1987, with just a short break in the USA. In recent years I trained as a career guidance coach and work part time in this role at a school in Stonehouse.

My main skills are in listening to people's stories and in helping them to be the best they can be.

In my free time I  love to walk long distance trails around the UK with my husband Peter and to spend time with my grown up children.

Paul Philips
[Pastoral]

Hi, I’m Paul & am married to Maureen, we have two grown up children & two grandsons. We joined SHBC in 1990.

House Groups are our first line of pastoral care, I co-ordinate a wonderful team of people who endeavour to ensure that those who do not belong to a House Group or have health issues are cared for as best we are able.

I have lived in Chippenham all my life except when, as a child, we moved to far away Kington St. Michael for eight years.

I am a retired mechanical design engineer & now enjoy walking, gardening, anything to do with the natural world & watching most sports.

[Seniors]

'My wife, Pat, and I joined the Church family in 1985.  We moved to Chippenham from London with my then employer, Westinghouse, almost fifty years ago.  Two beautiful daughters came with us, and soon another joined us.  Since then our family tree has blossomed and produced six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and another great-grandchild is expected soon.

Redundancy at Westinghouse prompted a major career change.  Initially working as a senior youth worker in Wiltshire's youth and community team and developing a relationship with the voluntary sector's drug and alcohol services.  After developing an independent community based counselling service in West Wiltshire, the last period of my working life was spent  serving at SHBC as a 'pastoral care worker' and as a 'community centre manager' for the Salvation Army's Chippenham Corps.

I continue to serve the SHBC family on the Church Council, representing the 'Seniors' in our family and the wider community.

Family life, gardening, reading and travel are ongoing sources of enjoyment and relaxation.'
